Applications are now open to take part in Rock The Grand.

Apply to take part in Rock The Grand, the ultimate band competition in Wandsworth! This event forms part of Wandsworth’s year as London Borough of Culture 2025 and is delivered in partnership with Wandsworth Music and Wandsworth Council.

Get Involved

Applications will only be considered if we receive a video and a completed form

Band members must be aged 13-19 (year 9 and above) and studying, living or working in Wandsworth

Maximum of 7 members per band

Submit a video of your band playing two songs live or in rehearsal

Priority may be given to bands who include an original song in their application

The form must be completed by the band leader or adult responsible for the band

Competition Process

• To apply, please complete this form and submit a video of your band playing two songs live or rehearsing via this link.
• Bands will be chosen to perform in the Grand Finale following a first-round video submission
• Finalists selected to play at the Grand Finale should prepare a programme of no more than 10 minutes, three songs (including one original where possible)
• The panel at the Grand Finale will include esteemed and recognised professional musicians
• Two bands at the Grand Finale will be chosen as runners up and one band will be crowned the winner of Rock the Grand

Prizes

Winning band:

• Rock the Grand trophy
• Prize voucher of £200 and a special recording opportunity at a professional studio

Two runners up:

• Prize voucher of £50 per band

Key Dates

• Application deadline: Friday 23rd January 2026
• Finalists announced: Friday 6th February 2026
• Grand Finale: Monday 2nd March 2026 at The Clapham Grand
• You must be available from 4pm onwards on 2nd March for sound checks and rehearsal
