School Music Partner Membership

All maintained, free and academy schools in Wandsworth are eligible for School Music Partner Membership.

We offer two membership levels; Basic and Enhanced.

Basic membership – FREE of charge:

  • Concerts & Events: Free access via invitation, to participate in high quality performance events at nationally recognised venues, for example, The Royal Albert Hall and Fairfield Halls. (participation is subject to application, event capacity and programming).
  • Resources: Free access to WM guidance documents and resources
  • Music Network Meetings: Invitations to termly music leader network meetings.
  • Free advice on instrument purchase, repairs and maintenance.
  • Access to all WM teaching programmes and CPD.
  • Nomination for the “Music Mark of Recognition for Schools” (on completion of the WM self-evaluation audit)

In addition to the basic membership, enhanced membership has the following additional benefits:

  • Discounted termly charges for all WM programmes including, Curriculum Music PPA cover; Whole Class Ensemble Tuition, Singing projects, Ensembles and Music Therapy.
  • Discounted teaching rates for hourly paid music teaching.
  • 2 hours bespoke consultancy and support for your school music provision.
  • Discounted rates for bespoke CPD delivery in your school.
  • 50% subsidy off the cost of transport for your school attend Wandsworth Music events e.g. the Brighter Sounds concert (up to a maximum value of £200 per year).

Membership runs for the academic year, September – July.

School Music Self-Evaluation Audit

The audit should be completed by the person who is responsible for Music in the school.

Your answers will also auto-populate a draft School Music Development Plan which will help you to:

  • Benchmark your school against DfE expectations
  • Understand what excellent music provision looks like
  • Decide on any actions for your school
  • Create a record for passing on to a new music lead
  • Complete the data for the annual DfE survey
  • Provide evidence for an Arts and Culture endorsement, Ofsted Deep Dive and Artsmark.
