Learn to make your own music tracks!
The music production course runs in person on Wednesday evenings as part of Wandsworth Music Academy Wednesdays. The course uses Soundtrap, a cloud based music production software.
Participating pupils receive their own login to Soundtrap so that they can continue creating and composing their own digital music at home.

The 10 week course takes place on Wednesday evenings. Pupils are grouped according to age and experience and each lesson will last 55 minutes.
What will you learn?
The course will introduce you to the software and concepts behind music production.
You will learn
- how to use loops to create your own composition
- how to create drum beats and hooks
- how to record your own voice or instrument and add effects
- how to mix your track and much more!
At the end of the course you will have created your very own track!

Who can sign up?:
If you are interested in creating your own digital music then this course is for you!
The course is open to children and young people in Year 5 to Year 11 (aged 10-16) and is suitable for both beginners and young people with previous experience of using music production software. Pupils will be grouped according to age and ability and previous experience of music production techniques.
What equipment do I need?
Soundtrap works on any computer or mobile device connected to the internet.
During the course, students will have access to high spec equipment at Burntwood School.
What does it cost?
The course costs £65 per term (10 lesson) – The costs includes a login to Soundtrap for the duration of the course so that pupils can continue creating and composing their own digital music at home.
Financial Support: Assistance with fees may be available on application to those on restricted incomes living in Wandsworth, subject to conditions. The criteria is similar to those in receipt of Free School Meals.
